Join us for a relaxing summer evening at Flynn House Farm and discover the art of botanical cyanotype printing. In this hands-on workshop, you'll create your own one-of-a-kind canvas tote bag using fresh flowers and foliage harvested from the farm. The cyanotype process uses the sun to produce beautiful, deep blue botanical prints.
The experience begins with a guided tour of the flower fields, where you'll learn about the blooms grown at Flynn House Farm before cutting your own selection of fresh stems to use in your design. After gathering your botanicals, settle in with light refreshments as you're guided step-by-step through the cyanotype printing process.
This workshop will be taught by Cal Olsen, a former Anthropologie Display Artist and current fiber artist, whose creative background and passion for botanical art make this a truly unique experience. Whether you're a seasoned maker or trying cyanotype for the first time, Cal will provide personalized instruction to help you create a beautiful tote you'll be proud to use.
