Location: Flynn House Farm, 4115 Lilly Road, Brookfield, WI 53005
Date: Wednesday, August 20, 2025
Time: 5:30pm - 7:30pm

Join us for an inspiring, flower-filled, family friendly evening dedicated to raising funds for the Cure GM1 Foundation in honor of our little luminary, Niam Seetharaman. At 6 months old, Niam received his diagnosis of infantile GM1.

GM1 gangliosidosis is a rare inherited lysosomal disorder that progressively destroys nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, primarily affecting infants and young children.

Early symptoms of GM1 gangliosidosis vary by type, but several known symptoms include developmental regression, seizures, visual impairment, and progressive loss of motor and cognitive functions, leading to severely shortened life expectancy.

While GM1 gangliosidosis primarily affects infants and young children, the disorder can still affect people of all ages and can leave anyone affected impaired with significant physical and developmental disabilities. According to Cleveland Clinic, GM1 gangliosidosis affects approximately one in every 100,000 to 200,000 people worldwide, but the disease remains severely under-diagnosed and often misdiagnosed due to a lack of public awareness and visibility.

While GM1 gangliosidosis has no cure and there are currently no approved treatments for the disease, early diagnosis is still critical to helping affected individuals navigate symptom management and promote quality of life.

Although our time with Niam was far too short, we want to celebrate his life and cherish his memory; his laughs, smiles, cuddles, special bond with his sister, Riya, and his absolute pure and sweet soul. On behalf of Niam’s parents, Aravind and Deepika, and older sister, Riya (4), please join us in the flower fields of Flynn House Farm for a beautiful evening in Niam’s memory and all other individuals and their families affected by GM1.

50% of U-Pick ticket sales will go directly to the Cure GM1 foundation, which directly funds research for the benefit of all who suffer from GM1.
